David Blaine In Manhattan

David Blaine, endurance artist performed his latest act in Central Park this past week, where he hung upside-down vertically for 60+ hours!

Both yesterday and Tuesday I ventured out into Manhattan to the Wollmen Rink at Central Park. My magician crew and I went to go see David Blaine's newest test of endurence: "The Dive of Death". Blaine is a great supporter of local magicians and has been a solid member of our community at Rouge Magic & Funshop in Queens. At almost all of his New York events, we have been there. Such as "Frozen In Time", "Drowned Alive" and "Vertigo", just to name a few. The night started out early just chilling at the shop, it was a pretty slow day and most of it was spent just hanging out and bumming around. At about 9:00pm was when all of us were gathered at the shop together, it was about nine of us, plus the two cameramen who were filming an independent documentary on the shop. We left in three seperate cars and headed into the city. We got there just close to 25-30 minutes later, and about 15 minutes to find our way from the enterance of the park to the Wollmen Rink. Once we got there, we all met up again. Blaine had been there upside down hanging and was about to be re-oriented slightly to have the blood circulate back to his lower body. The night was really fun, we got to do some of our close-up street magic to the people watching, and obv. got to talk and meet with Blaine [all while he is upside down, no less]. The poster and merch that they were selling was way too expensive for my taste. Luckily for me, there was four posters just hanging from the safety railings, swiftly I undid the ones I could, rolled them up and took them for my own ;]. All-in-all it was a good night, afterwards we piled into the van and headed back into Queens. We decided to eat at the Georgia Diner on Queens Blvd. I gotta tell ya, probably the funniest diner experience I've ever had! After we ordered our food, as we were waiting, there was a lady sitting across from us, obviously we were handing out flyers for our magic shows to whoever we could and the lady started taking a liking to it. So much so, that she called in, from the kitchen one of her friends who was a waitress there. So hilarious, this lady came over and said "Hey, I think I kow you from somewhere [pointing to Roger] You used to know my friend who worked at Waldbaums" then as she comes closer she goes "Oh no, wait a minute, you have an arm!" It was soo funny, we all couldn't help but crack up laughing! Like, who says that to someone? "I think I know you..." "...oh no wait, you have an arm!" So funny, such a good night. The night after when Blaine actually performed "The Dive of Death" was fun, but didn't hold as funny of a story as the night before. Get out of the house! Funny things are certain to happen! Thanks for reading!

Memories Of Middle School

So I thought that I'd take a trip back about four years. A trip back to senior year of middle school.

This one was of the girls and I in the SPARK room, our freshmen year at Cardozo. :]

This was one Friday in October of us in the M.S. 74 playground. :]

This was from Romy's 15th Birthday Party I beleive, good times!

When I first moved to Bayside, Queens I lived on the corner street of 229th and Horace Harding, for some reason I was "zoned" for the middle school P.S. 158, which was so much further away from my house than the other middle school M.S. 74. Although both schools were located on the same street: Oceana, M.S. 74 was a closer walk for me than 158. Any old ways, I was in 158 for about a year when I wound up getting jumped and beaten by seven kids who were about a year my elder. Therefor instead of punishing the students like the school should have, they gave me a "safety transfer" to M.S. 74. At first, I thought what any other 13-year-old would: "Why am I the one to be transfered? I have friends here, and I don't wanna leave". Well, I can honestly say that I am SO GLAD that those kids jumped me. If not for them, I would not have met all the amazing kids I did there at 74. Even though I was only in 74 for the last year of middle school, I feel that I've made better friends there than I have any of the other four towns I've lived in. Now, that the last year of most of our high school careers are ending and people are starting to go off into college and university, it got me thinking about our middle school senior year, and how fun and amazing it was. Almost every single day after school, myself and a small group of friends of mine hung out at the school's park for hours and hours, until basically, the school was yelling at us to leave :P. So many good times we had and memories that can never be replaced. It makes you wonder, just how fast time really goes by, I can tell you it feels nothing like four, going onto five years already. So the question I pose is this: What are some of YOUR favorite memories of your middle school senior year. Classes, after school, teachers, trips, etc. And if you do want to respond, please do it with more than one sentence, I'd really like to hear all of your stories and respones. Thanks for taking the time to read!

First Post In A Long Time

Hello world wide web,

Well, I don't really know where to start. Blogging is something I've always loved. I mean as far back to when I was in 6th grade I beleive, I had some sort of blog. Weather it be a weekly newsletter through E-mail, or on the old popular blogging site- Xanga. I'm back and I am really hoping to keep up with this and share my stories, songs, and adventures with all of you. As soon as my new iMac comes in, I ordered a mobileme account so I'll be able to actually make my own personal blog and host it myself. But, until then I guess you'll all just have to deal with this :P

Please feel free to comment and subscribe, I'd love to hear all of your thoughts and views.

Thank you and until next time...
